You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Government of Alberta (GoA) is transforming digital service delivery through its Digital Design and Delivery Division (DDD) to provide simpler more efficient and citizen-focused services.
As part of this initiative the GoA is seeking up to 27 QA Automation Developers to work on digital transformation and innovation projects across various ministries. These roles support cross-functional teams that include designers developers and product owners.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead efforts to ensure digital product quality
Develop test strategies plans scenarios and test cases
Design and implement:
System load/performance and security tests
Automated test suites
Maintain automation frameworks and testing tools
Promote QA best practices (e.g. linting BDD/TDD test coverage)
Support reusable test components and test data environments
Define and track service quality metrics
Automate quality reporting and artifacts
Remote-first but occasional travel to Edmonton may be required (at own cost)
Possible travel within Alberta for user research (GoA will coordinate)
Work must be performed within Canada
Developers must provide their own equipment when working remotely
On-site equipment (except computers/software) will be provided if needed
API testing
Experience with Cucumber and/or Gherkin
Cypress test automation
Establishing test automation metrics
Implementing QA standards
Jira Xray
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on large systems
