GLOBAL PRIVACY & CYBERSECURITY ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Location: New York NYHYBRID

Our client an international AmLaw 100 firm with a top-tier international privacy practice is seeking a talented Global Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Attorney to join its internationally recognized Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group in New York. This is an outstanding opportunity for an associate to work on complex high-profile matters involving cutting-edge privacy regulations and data security challenges for clients across industries.

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in New York in good standing or eligibility to obtain admission within one year of employment
  • 23 years of substantive experience (class of 2022 class of 2021)in privacy and cybersecurity law.
  • Experience advising on data breach response privacy compliance frameworks (domestic and international) and regulatory investigations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. and global privacy frameworks (e.g. GDPR CCPA/CPRA HIPAA) and incident response protocols
  • Prior experience at a large law firmof comparable rank
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for privacy cybersecurity and emerging technology issues.
  • Key Skills: Exceptional analytical research and writing skills; proactive client service mindset; and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on compliance with U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws including the GDPR CCPA/CPRA and other evolving frameworks
  • Assist with incident response and breach preparedness including counseling on regulatory notification obligations and managing cross-border data breach investigations
  • Represent clients in privacy- and cybersecurity-related regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
  • Draft and negotiate privacy and data security provisions in commercial agreements and corporate transactions
  • Support clients on privacy-related aspects of corporate policies procedures and risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide integrated advice on technology regulatory and litigation matters

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation:Annual base salary is expected to range from$260000 $310000 depending on experience qualifications and market factors
