The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join our regional branch in Darwin as an Account Manager. Made in Australia since 1921 Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes to large commercial and industrial projects.

Reporting to the Branch Manager you will work closely with the broader branch team (sales customer service and operations) colleagues to ensure product and service delivery for our valued customers. You will also:

  • execute customer call planning cycles
  • develop and implement market plans and strategies
  • work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to fulfil customer needs
  • grow new client base with proactive selling
  • monitor customer activity and market conditions for further opportunities and/ or risks

You will look after a geographic territory that encompasses Darwin and Regional NT. This will require infrequent and short overnight travel depending on how you plan your call and visit cycle.

More About You

We welcome applications from a variety of sales and/or account management backgrounds. Your proven success in a business-to-business external sales environment will see you succeed in this role. As an experienced professional you can demonstrate:

  • an understanding of ERP systems & software tools for design and project management
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proven track record of identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities
  • ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
