Job role: IBM I Series Developer(Rocket Software Lega Suite )

Location:  Franklin TN Hybrid role (3 days onsite is required)

Type: Contract - 6 months

Must Haves:

• 7 years of hands-on experience Designing modifying developing writing and implementing software programming applications for IBM i / Power systems
• 7 years of experience developing and maintaining complex software applications on IBM i using tools such as IBM Rational Developer for i (RDi) iSeries Navigator and change management systems like Aldon.
• Experience with Rocket Software Lega Suite is a difference maker as client looks to transform their legacy IBM i (AS/400) mainframe and midrange applications into modern web mobile and API-based interfaceswithout rewriting the core business logic.

Job Description:
This appears to be for the Utilization Management business line within client. Client could be using IBM i systems and RPG programming to process high volumes of utilization management requestslike precertifications and medical reviewsby automating business rules checking eligibility and securely storing decisions. These systems can integrate with modern web portals and APIs acting as a reliable high-performance backend for critical healthcare workflows.
Duties:

• Designs modifies develops writes and implements software programming applications.
• Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
• Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis test witnessing and certification of software.
• Other duties as necessary.
• Scopes and estimates projects.
• Writes technical documentation and troubleshoots complex problems.
• Works on multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Coordinates work with business QA and other teams including offshore Development.
• Communicates with technical management and other departments reporting statuses and risks.
• Works effectively with internal and external partners.
• Works under minimal supervision.
• Will be provided with assignments and objectives and given wide latitude for independent judgment.

Skills:

• 7 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on experience IBM I / Power systems using High level programming languages like RPG RPG Free SQLRPGLE SQL PL/SQL CL and Web technologies like XML WSDL and scripting languages like QSHELL.
• Develop/maintains complex software applications implemented on IBMi using tools like Change management Aldon SEU IBM Rational Developer for I (IBM RDi) IBM iAccess iSeries Navigator.
• Use SDLC process expertise in requirement gathering analysis design development application architecture and testing based on Waterfall/Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in healthcare desired.
• Experience with Rocket Software LegaSuite desired.
• Experience with MC400 highly desirable.
• Designs modifies develops writes and implements software programming applications for IBM I / Power systems using High level programming languages like RPG RPG Free SQLRPGLE SQL PL/SQL CL and Web technologies like XML WSDL and scripting languages like QSHELL;
• Designs modifies develops and implements database objects on DB2 for I using high level languages like DB2 SQL for i and tools like iSeries Navigator for i
• Performs and/or Supports installs of software applications / operating systems on IBM i/ Power systems
• Develop/maintains complex software applications implemented on IBM i using tools like Change management SEU IBM Rational Developer for I (IBM RDi) IBM iAccess iSeries Navigator
• Use SDLC process expertise in requirement gathering analysis design development application architecture and testing based on Waterfall/Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis test witnessing and certification of software built on IBM I and its peripherals
• Scopes and estimates projects for IBM I
• Writes technical System and Release documentation adhering to quality processes and coding standards
• troubleshoots complex problems related to software built on IBM Power systems / IBM I and Peripheral systems built on Windows
• Works on multiple software development and enhancement projects with varying deadlines
• Coordinates work with business QA and other teams including offshore Development
• Communicates with technical management and other departments reporting statuses risks and system modernization opportunities related to software/hardware developed for IBM i
• Works effectively with internal and external Vendor partners providing Software or Hardware services around IBM I Power Series

Education:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent years of experience
