At Ascom were on a mission to develop the next generation of infrastructure for our paging and personal alarm systems. Were looking for a passionate Embedded Software Developer to join us as a consultant and help build innovative transmitters and receivers for the UHF band. The position is a full-time fixed-term role with an expected duration of approximately 2 years. Youll be based at our Gothenburg office working hands-on with cutting-edge technology and a passionate team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for new infrastructure products
- Program low-level drivers and data communication (I2C SPI)
- Work with real-time operating systems (e.g. FreeRTOS) and multitasking/inter-process communication
- Develop software for data communication over TCP/IP including security protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams and cross-functional stakeholders
What You Bring
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4 years experience in object-oriented C development for embedded systems
- Several years experience with real-time OS multitasking and inter-process communication
- Strong background in low-level C/C development for drivers and data communication
- Experience with TCP/IP and data security protocols
- Solid hardware knowledge
- Proficiency in GCC GIT Docker Jenkins CMake
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
- Ability to converse in Swedish
