Key Responsibilities:
- Represent issuers underwriters creditors and borrowers in structured finance transactions
- Draft and negotiate key transaction documents including repurchase agreements and related legal instruments
- Collaborate closely with internal teams clients and counterparties to manage all aspects of deal execution
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and transaction stakeholders
- Support the Capital Markets team with research documentation and deal management as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years (ONLY) of law firm experience with a focus on structured finance particularly involving residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS)
- Experience with securitizations repurchase agreements finance transactions opinion drafting and related deal documentation
- Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
- Law school graduates Class of 2023 or 2024 ONLY
- Strong academic credentials (top law schools and/or strong class ranking preferred)
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Highly detail-oriented conscientious and organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem solving
- Eager to grow professionally and receptive to feedback
