Job Description

The consumer legislative and regulatory environment surrounding ingredients has been rapidly evolving and this new role will help to successfully navigate the changing landscape. The Manager Ingredients Colors will support the Food Additive Procurement Senior Manager and FD&C colors workstream to successfully navigate KHCs portfolio transition to natural dyes. This is a critical moment for Kraft Heinz and this role will have a big impact on many of our iconic brands. The Colors Manager will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for our color portfolio in close partnership with R&D Quality Regulatory Marketing and Supply Chain to ensure secure and cost-effective supply.

Whats on the Menu:

  • Own procurement strategy for color ingredients across the Kraft Heinz portfolio balancing cost quality risk and innovation
  • Lead sourcing efforts to support the transition including botanical extracts fruit and vegetable juices and fermented colorants
  • Manage supplier relationships to support long-term resilience and meet accelerated launch timelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D Regulatory Marketing to align procurement decisions with product development timelines regulatory constraints and brand objectives
  • Monitor supply markets including agricultural trends geopolitical risks and emerging technologies relevant to natural color production
  • Negotiate pricing contracts and supply agreements with suppliers to ensure supply security while balancing cost targets
  • Support the qualification process for new colors and suppliers
  • Track and report sourcing KPIs cost savings and risk exposure
  • Negotiate closely with suppliers to minimize cost and identify cost saving opportunities
  • Help ensure successful execution of product launches through coordination with suppliers supply chain and manufacturing

Recipe for Success:

  • Bachelors degree required (Supply Chain Ag / Economics Finance or Engineering desired)
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of research commodities and/or procurement experience required
  • Color experience and/or knowledge preferred but not required
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and change in a dynamic environment
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Organizational skills (handling workload and complexity)
  • Ability to interface with a wide variety of business situations and all levels of management
  • Negotiations and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Excel and PowerPoint

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$102100.00 - $127600.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidates geographic region job-related knowledge skills and experience among other factors
