Position Summary
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the strategy and implementation of the Professional Education strategy and content based on the NA business objectives. They will oversee current and will build the future state of Professional Education in design development delivery and effectiveness.
They will work closely with the NA Professional Affairs Marketing Sales IT Operations and Global teams within Health Care Compliance & Privacy policies to achieve and execute defined strategies through these channels. All efforts shall be guided by the NA business strategy while using data and insights to help with continual process improvement.
This person will need a strong working knowledge of the optometric profession and experience in adult addition they must have strong leadership planning and budgeting skills given the projects and teams with which they must partner and manage.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the strategy and execution of the Professional Education plan with emphasis on the future of professional education in alignment with business strategies for NA Professional Affairs and Vision Care.
- Foster a high-performance environment and culture of collaboration differentiation and innovation. Will have a direct report team and indirect report team which includes Professional Affairs Consultants and agency resources to support the delivery of Peer-to-Peer Education.
- As the portfolio subject matter expert enable strong collaboration with cross-functional teams including Regional Marketing Professional Marketing Regional Sales Global Professional Education Operations R&D Medical Affairs I.T. other Professional Education regional teams to ensure seamless hand-off of content for all learning experiences.
- Execution and prioritization of critical Professional Education projects program deployment and lead oversight of compliant program metrics logistics contracting as related to compliant HCP interactions.
- Development of analytical models to measure and predict trends efficiencies and effectiveness of education programs for prioritized audiences. Strong budget management.
- Partner with data and digital capabilities teams to drive a competitive and differentiated advantage for the organization.
- Ensure responsibility for assuring necessary tools policies and procedures are developed and integrated to support and comply with all legal regulatory and HCC policies to include Advamed PharMa etc.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of a bachelors degree is required.
- MEd MBA OD or OD equivalent is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- 10 years of experience managing and leading in the areas of Eye Care and/or ophthalmic-related Professional Education.
- 5 years of demonstrated people and/or project management.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with diverse multi-functional teams across geographic boundaries.
Preferred:
- Deep knowledge of the eyecare optometry and contact lens industry.
- Proven experience in strategic thinking with demonstrated execution through a team.
Other:
- This position to be based out of Jacksonville Florida.
- Overnight travel may be required up to 40%.
