Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Networking Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team at White Sands Missile Range NM.

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Networking Administrator (Intermediate-Level)will require an understanding of enterprise network architecture Layer 2/3 switching routing protocols and network security standards. You will be responsible for the installation configuration maintenance performance and security of the network infrastructure. You will be a part of a diverse team supporting a globally distributed information systems responsible for the analysis administration voice video and data communications networks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage network performance availability and security.
  • Implement and enforce network security procedures and best practices to comply with DoD regulations.
  • Install maintain and troubleshoot network-related software and hardware systems including Layer 2/3 switches routers firewalls wireless access points and encryption devices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Work with IP-based networking environments including IPv4/IPv6 and IPSec VPNs.
  • Maintain knowledge of and apply standards related to 802.1x 802.11 MAC bridging traffic management and data encryption.
  • Evaluate develop and sustain telecommunications infrastructure and ensure conformance with organizational IT policies and objectives.
  • Train users on basic network operations and escalate advanced issues to senior personnel when necessary.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a US Citizen. 
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Must have a BA/BS Degree or an AA in computer science or information technology.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience working in IT enterprise network engineering.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security CE CCNA Security GICSP GSEC SSCP etc.).
  • Proven leadership in managing complex network environments including DoD networks.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF BGP) security standards (802.1X 802.11 MAC bridging) and media access control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in network segmentation traffic management and secure network architecture design.
  • In-depth knowledge of network tools monitoring platforms and documentation best practices.
  • Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.

Preferred:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
  • Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Familiarity with NIST STIG RMF and Federal Information Systems Controls.
  • Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
