Job Description

As the Pet Care General Manager youll oversee the full operations of an onsite dog daycare boarding grooming and training facility. You re responsible for ensuring exceptional care a safe and clean environment superior customer service and profitable business performance. You ll lead with empathy for both people and pups and embody BHV s promise of treating every dog like family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership

    • Oversee daily facility operations including playgroup coordination reservations boarding grooming and front desk duties.

    • Uphold standards of safety cleanliness and dog welfare (with facilities monitored via webcams)

    • Manage inventory facility maintenance and operational expenses.

  • Team & Culture Management

    • Recruit train mentor and coach staff (kennel techs handlers customer service groomers).

    • Foster BHVs culture of compassion teamwork and excellence in pet care.

  • Customer & Community Engagement

    • Ensure top-tier client satisfaction through strong staff-client communication and resolving issues quickly.

    • Represent BHV in local community events and partnerships to build brand awareness.

  • Business & Financial Management

    • Execute revenue-driving strategies optimize labor costs and monitor key financial metrics.

    • Conduct performance reviews and set goals in alignment with corporate metrics.




Requirements

  • 3 years management experience preferably with P&L responsibility in hospitality pet care or service industry (e.g. boarding grooming vet clinic).

  • Demonstrated leadership presence and strong team-building skills.

  • Passion for animal welfare and customer service.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office point-of-sale systems and scheduling logistics.

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including holidays weekends and varying shifts.

  • Physical stamina to handle facility operations and occasional pet handling tasks.
