Diagnose mechanical and engine faults in heavy diesel vehicles and equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
Perform preventive maintenance overhauls and repairs on diesel engines gearboxes clutches braking systems hydraulics and cooling systems.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
Repair or replace faulty parts such as fuel systems exhaust systems turbochargers and transmission components.
Maintain and service hydraulic systems and pneumatic components.
Interpret technical manuals wiring diagrams and manufacturer specifications for repair procedures.
Maintain accurate service records and prepare maintenance reports.
Ensure all repair work meets safety quality and regulatory compliance standards.
Collaborate with supervisors fleet managers and other technicians for efficient workflow.
Stay updated on the latest repair techniques tools and equipment in heavy diesel mechanics.
Diploma / ITI / Vocational Training in Diesel Mechanics Automotive Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (experience in the Gulf region preferred).
Strong knowledge of diesel engine operation heavy vehicle systems and mechanical troubleshooting.
Expertise in using mechanical tools diagnostic software and measuring equipment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents service manuals and schematics.
Physical stamina to handle heavy parts and work in challenging environments.
Time management and ability to prioritise urgent repairs.
Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
