Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON to lead a Nursing Home in Wicklow Ireland.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Accountable for keeping Epicare current and overseeing all clinical documentation in the care facility in collaboration with the DON.
- Conducting internal audits and spot checks on the homes documents followed up on and developing action plans.
- Helping the DON promote a culture of best practices and ongoing development in the house.
- Possess the necessary knowledge of every facet of the homes operations including a thorough understanding of each resident to interact with or reply to HIQA officials while the DON is not there.
- Understand in detail the notification forms that must be sent to HIQA under different conditions as well as the deadline for doing so.
Requirements
- At least three years of relevance Experience with ADON or acting ADON is preferred.
- The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) is where I am currently registered.
- Proven clinical and professional aptitude as well as organizational communication and leadership abilities
- Working familiarity with HIQA guidelines standards and processes
- It is quite beneficial to have post-registration training in gerontology and/or dementia care.
- The ability to work in Ireland must be met.
