Minutes to Seconds is looking for a Retail Solution Architect in a Contract role in Melbourne.
Requirements
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Retail Solution Architect to design develop and oversee end-to-end retail technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in retail business processes enterprise architecture and modern retail platforms ensuring seamless integration across POS eCommerce ERP WMS CRM and other retail systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead solution architecture design for retail technology initiatives ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
Collaborate with business stakeholders product owners and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable high-performing solutions.
Define architectural standards integration patterns and best practices for retail systems.
Evaluate recommend and integrate retail technologies including POS OMS ERP CRM and WMS solutions.
Ensure solutions are secure compliant and aligned with enterprise data governance policies.
Oversee system integrations data flows and API strategies between retail applications and enterprise platforms.
Provide technical leadership during project delivery including proof-of-concepts solution validation and troubleshooting.
Stay current with emerging retail technologies market trends and industry standards.
Required Skills & Experience
10 years in IT with at least 5 years as a Solution Architect in the retail industry.
Proven experience with retail systems.
Strong understanding of retail operations including merchandising supply chain store operations and omni channel commerce.
Experience with integration platforms.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices-based architecture.
Strong knowledge of enterprise data models APIs and security protocols.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in ERP and WMS implementation within retail.
Familiarity with loyalty programs customer analytics and personalization engines.
Enterprise architecture certification.
Previous experience in global retail roll outs and multi-country implementations.
Education
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications technologies while leveraging Azure services. This role requires expertise in cloud-based development and database management, particularly with Cosmos DB and MongoDB, alongside Azure DevOps for CI/CD processes. Key Responsibilities: Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using C# Core. Azure Integration: Develop and deploy applications on the Microsoft Azure platform, utilising services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps. Database Management: Work with Cosmos DB and MongoDB for database operations, optimization, and troubleshooting. DevOps Practices: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to ensure seamless application deployment.
