We are looking for a line cook for our Cafe Con Leche Newtown Restaurant

WHAT YOULL DO
You will be responsible for setup and stocking food items and other necessary supplies. Prepare food items by cutting chopping mixing and preparing sauces. Cook food items by basic grilling and other cooking methods to specified by recipes and standards. Your principal responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Food Quality
Making sure great-tasting high-quality food is served according to recipes and standards.
Resolving food quality issues
Managing food safety which includes: Ensuring hand washing and glove changes monitoring time and temperature on the line monitoring secondary shelf lives and enforcing the Daily Food Safety Checklist and food safety policies and procedures as well monitoring inventory.
Customer Interaction
Resolving customer incidents concerning foods and working to ensure positive customer experiences.
Office Administration
Ordering in a timely way.
Ensuring the proper quantity of supplies is available as needed.
Miscellaneous
Ensuring the line and reach-in cooler are organized and clean
Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the line and kitchen equipment.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Responsibilities:
- Memorize Cafe Con Leche menu
- Prepare food to order specifications
- Chop slice dice and handle knives with care
- Leave the Prep area filled at the end of your shift for the next cook.
Skills:
- Must be able to work independently
- Servsafe certification is a plus ( We will require it before two months)
- Attention to detail
- Full-time or Part-time positions available
- Must be reliable and have a good work ethic
- Ability to speak write read and understand English
