THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
As a Senior Accountant youll play a key role in the accurate and timely reporting of both corporate and community nancials. Youll serve as a nancial steward for our operations maintaining precision in our books and providing insight that helps our teams and partners make informed decisions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on balancing big-picture analysis with hands-on detailand whos energized by a fast-paced mission-driven environment.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Own the preparation of monthly nancial statements for both internal company entities and community associations ensuring accuracy completeness and compliance with GAAP.
Oversee account reconciliations journal entries and accruals; research and resolve discrepancies independently.
Partner closely with property and association managers to review budgets nancial variances and ensure alignment with operating goals.
Support the annual budget process and assist in forecasting as needed.
Lead the year-end audit and tax preparation process in collaboration with external accountants and auditors.
Continuously improve nancial processes and internal controls identifying opportunities for automation and increased eciency.
Serve as a go-to resource for accounting sta mentoring junior team members and contributing to training eorts.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with retention policies and industry best practices.
YOUR BACKGROUND:
Bachelors degree in Accounting.
Strong communication skills.
Prociency in Google Workspace.
3 years of accounting experience ideally with exposure to both corporate and property/community accounting within the real estate industry.
Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and nancial statement preparation.
Experience with accounting software; experience in AppFolio Yardi or similar systems is a plus.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
CPA or progress toward certication is preferred but not required.
