Cranbrook Upper School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time School Nurse(s) (RN) to join our Nurse Student Support Services team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare and emergency response to our student community promoting a culture of health and wellness that supports student safety and academic success. This is an essential role for managing daily health needs administering care for illnesses and injuries and serving as a key point of contact for students and their families.

As a School Nurse you will be responsible for:
Student Care: Provide skilled health assessments first aid and urgent care for both day and residential students. This includes administering medications as prescribed and developing individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions such as asthma diabetes and allergies.
Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to medical emergencies providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency medical services when necessary.
Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students parents and staff regarding health concerns treatment plans and wellness initiatives. You will collaborate with our Director of Wellness and other school staff to ensure seamless support for our students.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate confidential student health records in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Schedule & Proximity Requirements:
This position is available as a .6 FTE role or can be split into two separate positions: a .4 FTE role and a .2 FTE role. Please specify your preference when applying (.6 .4 .2 and or ALL configurations)
.6 FTE Position
Regular Shifts: Two afternoon shifts per week from 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM (non-weekend nights).
On-Call Responsibilities: A rotation of 8-9 weekend shifts per school year (Friday 3:30 PM to Monday 7:30 AM). These are primarily on-call with some in-person hours required to support our residential students.
Overnight On-Call: One additional overnight on-call shift per week (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with additional pay.
Proximity Requirement: For weekend and on-call shifts candidates must live in or stay close proximity to campus or be willing to use accommodations provided by the school.
.4 FTE Position
Weekday Shifts: Two afternoon shifts per week from 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM (non-weekend nights).
Substitute Eligibility: Part-time employees are eligible to pick up extra shifts as they arise.
.2 FTE Position

Requirements:
To apply for any of the above positions you must meet the following criteria:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
License: Current active RN license in good standing in the state of Michigan.
Certification: Current CPR/AED certification.
Experience: While not required prior experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred.
