What the Role Is
The Procurement Manager engages in day-to-day purchasing activities while improving the use of the system and processes to reduce costs while increasing KPIs of the purchasing team. Collaborate with and report to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement in executing corporate supply chain initiatives. Support operations and program execution to meet operational commitments and standards.
The preferred candidate possesses strong leadership interpersonal and analytic skills. Candidate will be able to multi-task will be a result-oriented creative thinker and will possess a thorough understanding of purchasing best practices purchasing/inventory processes warehouse operations and project management. Candidate understands and practices P2P MRP and forecasting principles.
What Youll Be Doing

- Manage all day-to-day procurement activities related to core items consumables office suppliers chemicales and etc.
- Manage procurement team; ensure team is at optimal efficiency at all times
- Run extrapolate analyze and summarize reports. Independently develop procurement strategies and prepare presentations to help SLT make decisions.
- Lead vendor relationships including contract negotiation MOQ VMI payment terms partnership and vendor score card
- Assist NPI process with marketing inventory maintenance shipment and delivery and RMA
- Evaluate and improve procurement strategies (cost time and process reduction)
- Lead resolutions pertain to delays returns and accounting related matters.
- Implement process and procedural improvements to streamline workflow and increase productivity.
- Support system processes and protocol development and management to deliver reliable logistics and inventory management as measured by fill rates on time delivery inventory levels service levels and QA compliance.
- Analyze inventory logistics patterns and trends. Minimize inventory cost while supporting anticipated monthly demand. JIT and Lean.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects across enterprises.
- Manage processes and structures designed to ensure reliable sourcing of critical materials while mitigating risks in business continuity and product availability.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking.
- Determine the quantity and timing of deliveries.
- Work with warehouse and operations for effective inventory counts and audits.
- Develop standardized threshold analysis.
- Evaluation and report on KPIs.
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles.
What Were Looking For
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business economics accounting or equivalent discipline
- Multi-unit retail/food industry experience in supporting front end customers facing sites.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central software preferred
- Practical purchasing & supply chain experience (min. 3 5 years)
- Strong leadership skills. Able to lead purchasing team in various enterprise projects
- Able to effectively communicate complex business cases both orally and literally.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Able to comprehend complex business situations and derive solutions or proposals to Senior Leadership
- Proficiency in Excel analytic tools and MS Suite required
