Job Description
Team Lead(Monday - Friday 8:30pm-5am)
Summary:
The Team Leader is responsible for the timely efficient and accurate processing of products in the Digital Eye Lab. A Team Leader is cross-trained to conduct various tasks and may oversee the day-to-day activities within their team for a specific area. As well as be expected to perform work in the additional function(s) as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leader will oversee and direct activities within one of the following functions in Digital Eye Lab:
1) Data Entry
2) Inventory Control
3) Material Expeditor/Flow Coordinator
4) Picking
5) Finishing
6) Production Line
7) Quality Control
8) AR
9) Shipping (Invoicing & Consolidation)
10) Surfacing
11) Coating
Manages day-to-day coordination of a specific lab function or area.
May delegate tasks and assign duties to appropriate team members.
Partners with Management to determine department standards operational procedures and metrics to drive performance excellence.
Review the data from performance reports determine the accuracy of the reports and determine the efficiency and productivity of the employees.
Provide recommendations for immediate process or performance corrections based on reports. Partner with management to implement the necessary adjustments.
Plan and schedule regular rotation of all team members through the various key process responsibilities.
Analyze and share daily production stats with team members.
Review and recommend department processes to ensure the maximum level of productivity and cost efficiencies.
Identify potential trends in performance gaps and recommend modifications to the standardized work documents by using process improvement principles.
Report all known products process and or reporting defects and inefficiencies to supervisory personnel.
Provide information regarding work activities department activities and programs and company updates. Promote industry information within the team and organization.
Ensure that Employees follow documented standardized work/procedures at all times.
Provide training coaching and mentoring to improve and develop the performance of the team members.
Respond to Employees needs concerns and questions. This includes but is not limited to offering input on discipline performance reviews payroll attendance etc.
Ensure all employees are trained and comply with related policies and procedures for both the department and the company.
Utilize proper handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages and reduce injuries.
Follow and uphold all OSHA and company guidelines policies and safety regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
At least one year of experience leading or training employees
General PC and MS applications Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience in the Digital Eye Lab

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit stand walk bend and use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required.
For US Candidates
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $16.50 $1.00 shift differential
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors including geography experience qualifications skills and local minimum wage addition you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
