Job Description

Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors called delivery partners to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems that allows delivery partners to on board schedule delivery times guide them through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation and more. The approach and technology are nothing short of disruptive and promise to challenge traditional approaches and change the way the industry operates.

Amazon Flex is continuing to build a high paced and lean team to expand new initiatives across our network to improve speed customer and driver experience while reducing cost-to-serve. Amazon is now looking to hire an experienced Principal Program Manager to drive our Speed Program and structure our Long-Term vision in UK/EU. The successful candidate will be self-motivated passionate highly analytical detail-oriented possess solid interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable working independently to deliver results. She/he will work cross-functionally and across geographies with stakeholders at all levels. She/he will need to think strategically write effectively and plan accurately to execute and deliver on weekly monthly quarterly and yearly objectives. The successful candidate will effectively coach functional leadership and partners on operational policies and tools and drive holistic operational excellence across the organization.


Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains.
This role will have high level visibility due to the nature of the program. You will need strong writing and communication skills to senior VPs.
- Creating and implementing data driven strategies across supply chain tech delivery and under the roof operations to support the overall program.
- Present in regular Director/VP reviews to provide updates on critical work streams
- Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally across multiple teams in operations technology and planning to define strategic roadmaps while keeping the impact of the solution to all stakeholders in mind
- Driving and creating launch timelines along with communication across all stakeholders on risk status and mitigation strategies.
- Determine metrics needed for the program along with a roadmap needed to scale.


- Bachelors degree
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience defining and executing program requirements
- Experience working with presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level
- Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience delivering cross functional projects
