This position will engage with virtually all office policies and processes in support of the offices mission to create maintain and protect the academic records of current and former students. Tasks will include but are not limited to: processes related to course registration transfer credit and degree completions; processing transcripts and degree and enrollment verifications; providing support to students faculty and other departments. The successful candidate should be able to work with a variety of customers and must be flexible and able to turn their attention to unexpected tasks quickly.
This is a full-time non-exempt fixed term position ending on June 30 2028 with a pay rate of $20.00. This position will support operations in the Registrars Office by supporting team members in daily work.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to office processes (registration transfer credit grades transcript processing) % Varies by cycle
- Provide quality service for customers (students faculty staff alumni) in person by phone and by email
- Adherence and enforcement of College policies is necessary
- Commitment to abide by FERPA and other polices related to confidentiality of data and records
- Demonstrate ability to establish effective and productive working relationships
- Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor Degree and experience in higher education. Previous experience in a Registrars Office is preferred. Oneida County Notary License preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Proficiency with technology including but not limited to Google products and Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Ellucian Colleague desired.
Strong trouble-shooting skills; excellent communication and analytical skills; ability to interact effectively with faculty students and staff and to provide excellent customer service; understanding of or willingness to learn the colleges curriculum and requirements and desire to support its academic mission; appreciation of and commitment to maintaining best practices in data standards; knowledge of FERPA and commitment to professional integrity and maintaining confidentiality of protected student information; ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment under the pressure of deadlines.
