First (Days)Overview:
Status: Full-timeposition (40 hours) with a contract for 2 years.
Standard working hours: Dayshift 8am to 5pm EST; With weekend or evening hours as needed
Location: With a remote work opportunity. Will travel to local churches in Hampton Roads (Norfolk Virginia Beach Newport News) for clinical research/studies (Blood Pressure Check) as needed. Reports to Sentara Health Research Center at Centre Pointe in Virginia Beach VA as needed.
Job responsibilities:
Works in collaboration with the research Manager and other research team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
Engages in interventions to improve self-management skills and improve quality of life for patients needing workup for high blood pressure diagnosis.
Provides education and behavior modification strategies and provides social support to patients and families.
Acts as a patient advocate and healthcare navigator in assisting with resource allocation and management.
Required qualifications:
Drivers License - Certification - Other/National REQUIRED
HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working in a community-based setting preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
