Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop implement and manage the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth profitability and customer satisfaction. Each day you will coordinate sales activities monitor current projects and manage the resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by giving input on market price developments and tendencies.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid or Remote #LI-Hybrid #LI-Remote

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and Statement of Work growth actions.
  • Understanding the key business drivers including significant and emerging business risks (e.g. sustainability/digital/cybersecurity) of the relevant global customers business and business environment translating them into the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB.
  • Participating in the development of sales strategies for the account through providing current business and long-term plans for the customer.
  • Defining sales targets giving input on market price developments monitoring competitors activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are implemented.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelors Degree in a technical and or business discipline; a combination is ideal with at least 5 years of experience in account sales and/or business management.
  • Highly self-directed single contributor with demonstrated relentless sales pursuit mentality
  • Product knowledge with process and analytical and instrumentation equipment is a significant plus.
  • Leadership experience in sales engineering and operational project with experience in strategic account and sales planning.
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and market trends.
  • Strong well-developed verbal communication influencing coaching and leadership skills.
  • Up to 35% domestic travel required
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

The Measurement & Analytics Division is among the worlds leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers working at the heart of industrial digital transformation. The Measurement & Analytics Divisions portfolio consists of analyzers measuring compositions of gases and liquids; instrumentation measuring process variables such as temperature pressure flow and level; force measurement solutions measuring parameters such as flatness thickness and tension; and advanced digital solutions for device management device health check and predictive maintenance. The Measurement & Analytics Division serves key industries such as oil and gas chemical water and wastewater power hydrogen batteries as well as the marine industry. The Division enables the optimization of industrial processes by providing and analyzing data collected from sensing and smart measurement devices. Parameters such as emission levels and production inputs are measured by providing before and after values enabling efficient operations and environmental sustainability through measurement.

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicants qualifications and experience this position is expected to pay between $79800 and $127680 annually and is bonus eligible.
