Job Description
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on the lives of people with hearing impairments Do you have a passion for mechanical design and a drive to build innovative implantable hearing solutions from the ground up Join Oticon Medical as a Senior Developer where your expertise will help shape the future of sound processor technology.
This position is in Gothenburg Sweden but with possibility to work from our offices in Kongebakken in Denmark or Nice in France.
Your Role:
As atechnical leadin our R&D team you will:
- Lead themechanical developmentof new sound processors.
- Helpbuild our mechanical development capabilities from scratch including:
- Creating working models and prototypes.
- Managing supplier interactions and technical communication.
- Identifying key development activities and contributing to project planning.
- Apply your experienced knowledge ofplastics and manufacturabilityto ensure robust scalable designs.
- Drive your own tasks with aproactive and independent mindset.
- Leadconcept generationand assess feasibility desirability and viability.
- Utilize your experience in:
- Mechanical design and 3D skeleton modeling.
- Material selection and surface treatment.
- Experience of Surface modelling (colloborate with industrial design)
- Work across disciplines in a collaborative environment with R&D Operations Regulatory Clinical and Marketing.
What You Bring:
- A degree inMechanical Engineering(BSc or MSc) ideally with experience in medical devices or similar high-precision industries.
- Proven ability to lead technical development projects.
- Solid experience inmechanical designmaterial selectionsurface treatment and3D skeleton modeling (surface design).
- A strong and deep understanding offine mechanics especially in plastics and manufacturing processes.
- Experience withhardware development projectsand regulated industries (medical devices is a plus).
- Proficiency in CAD modeling(PTC Creo preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Fluency in English both written and spoken is required.
