Job Description:
A Purchasing Assistantsupports the procurement process by handling administrative tasks managing inventory and coordinating with vendors.They play a crucial role in ensuring a companys purchasing needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
    • Inventory Management:
      Monitoring stock levels identifying purchasing needs and ensuring adequate inventory levels.
    • Vendor Management:
      Researching potential vendors obtaining quotes negotiating prices and maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  • Order Processing:
    Creating and processing purchase orders tracking shipments and updating order records.
  • Record Keeping:
    Maintaining accurate purchasing records including invoices delivery confirmations and other relevant documentation.
  • Communication:
    Liaising with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and communicating with vendors regarding order status and discrepancies.
  • Market Research:
    Conducting market research to identify pricing trends new vendors and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Administrative Support:
    Providing general administrative support to the purchasing department including preparing reports and assisting with other tasks as needed.
