Job Summary: The Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the operational and administrative activities within the College of Nursing. This role ensures the efficient functioning of the department by overseeing various tasks and projects. This role also includes the coordination and supervision of department assistants in the College of Nursing. Essential Functions (Responsibilities): Operational Management: Coordinate daily operations including scheduling resource allocation and workflow management. Complete approvals for time off and ensuring the school of nursing is adequately covered. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Director of Operations and other senior staff including managing calendars preparing reports and handling correspondence. Event Coordination: Plan and execute departmental events such as faculty meetings student orientations and special programs. Budget Oversight: Assist in budget preparation monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with financial policies. Data Management: Maintain and update departmental databases generate reports and ensure data integrity. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders addressing inquiries and disseminating information. Project Coordination: Manage special projects as assigned ensuring timely completion and adherence to objectives. Supervision: Oversee the work of administrative staff and student workers providing guidance and support as needed. Identify continuing education opportunities to strengthen staff members in their respective roles.

Required Qualifications
Knowledge/Skill/Ability Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Equivalent Education/Experience Bachelors degree in business administration Healthcare Management or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations or administrative roles preferably in an academic or healthcare setting. Working Conditions: Environment: Office setting with occasional travel for events and meetings. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks involving sitting standing and walking.
