Our client is a leading provider of professional survey mapping site planning and civil engineering services throughout the Southeastern US and TX. They are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional results. They are seeking a motivated Survey Manager to join their team in FL and run the Panhandle region. This role is ideal for a licensed Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) with strong leadership organizational and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Survey Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive survey plans in accordance with project requirements schedules and budget constraints.
- Coordinate survey activities with project managers engineers and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Identify potential survey challenges and develop mitigation strategies to overcome them.
Survey Research and Analysis:
- Conduct and oversee research of survey records maps deeds and other pertinent documents to prepare project deliverables.
- Review and approve survey computations plats legal descriptions and other project-related materials.
Client Communication and Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding survey-related matters providing timely updates and addressing inquiries as needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients subcontractors and regulatory agencies to facilitate project success.
- Participate in project meetings progress reviews and presentations to communicate survey related findings and recommendations
Qualifications:
- PLS is required.
- 5 years of experience in land surveying with a focus on civil engineering projects.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Geomatics Surveying or a related field. Masters degree or professional licensure (e.g. Professional Land Surveyor) is preferred.
- Proficiency in survey software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation) and GPS/Total Station equipment.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles legal descriptions and mapping techniques.
- Excellent organizational time management and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Experience with budgeting scheduling and resource management.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed.
