Job Description

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for their downtown Roanoke VA office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing HVAC systems for a variety of project types including educational civic arts and commercial buildings. Strong communication skills the ability to work in a team environment and willingness to mentor staff are essential for success in this role.

What you would be doing:

  • Design HVAC systems for various project types relating to building design
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients
  • Mentor junior staff members
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

What is required for you to excel in this role:

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • 7-10 years of professional experience preferred
  • Proficient in design load calculation and energy modeling programs (Trace ComCheck)
  • Experience with Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in REVIT preferred
