POSITION SUMMARY
This role offers an excellent introduction to foundational accounting practices within a business environment. It is designed to provide hands-on learning in key areas such as accounts receivable posting revenue recognition and the importance of maintaining accurate backup documentation. The position supports the development of a strong understanding of basic accounting processes and internal controls.
As part of the learning experience the individual will work closely with various members of the accounting team gaining exposure to different functions and workflows. This collaborative environment fosters both technical skill development and a broader understanding of how accounting supports overall business operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is expected to mentor new team members and collaborate with team members when appropriate. Promptly inform a supervisor of all matters that may give rise to an E&O claim
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Starting pay for this nonexempt position is $20/hour.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Work Experience
College students pursuing Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 1 year of college coursework completed.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
