A position has been declared open in Weber School District for a part-time Special Education Elementary File Support position is for5.75 hours per day180 days (9 months) per year and is paid according to Lane 4(B) of theParaprofessionals Salary Schedule.
This position was createdfor the purposes of providing support to the instructional program within assigned schools with specific responsibility for reviewing and organizing student records in compliance with federal state and local special education laws and reports to the District Special Education Compliance Facilitator.

Job Description:
As needed under the direction of the Special Education Compliance Facilitator:
- Travel to assigned schools according to the supervisors scheduling.
- Maintains manual and electronic files/records (e.g. transfers files between teachers etc.) for the purpose of meeting mandated requirements.
- Complete data entry for the purpose of preparing reports and/or processing forms.
- Attends meetings and in-service presentations (e.g. IEP 504 emergency procedures etc.) for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
- Collaborates with assigned team for the purpose of maintaining records for special education students.
- Communicates with supervising instructional staff professional support personnel and parents ( them apprised of IEP schedules data collection etc.) for the purpose of assisting in evaluating progress and/or implementing IEP objectives.
- Schedules special education meetings for the purpose of making necessary arrangements for assigned teachers and administrator.
- Other duties as assigned. May include working directly with students if needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Proficiency in computer applications (particularly data entry applications such as Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel).
- Familiarity with PowerSchool and EdPlan preferred.
- Basic understanding of special education records preferred.
- Friendly customer service-oriented skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple school teams file support team and supervisors.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to ambulate comfortably up and down stairs.
- Must have reliable transportation in order to follow an assigned schedule and work in multiple locations.
