Job Description
The Role
As a Front-End Engineer you will play a key role in designing and delivering high-performing scalable and responsive web applications. You will bring your experience in and Progressive Web App (PWA) development to create seamless modern and intuitive user this cross-functional role you will collaborate closely with back-end developers working Core and environments to develop integrated solutions. You will take pride in delivering clean efficient code and enjoy solving both user-centric and technical challenges.

What we want you to do
- Develop engaging accessible and responsive web interfaces using and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Build robust Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) with offline capabilities service workers and responsive design principles.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure consistency across the stack (.Net Core / ).
- Maintain high coding standards and best practices including test coverage and performance optimisation.
- Participate in daily stand-ups sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Proactively contribute ideas to improve UI/UX design and overall user satisfaction.
- Own the delivery of features from technical design through to deployment and support.
- Mentor developers on front-end development best practices and new technologies.
- Work with cross-functional teams (QA BAs) to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Stay up to date with evolving front-end technologies frameworks and standards.
What success in the role looks like
- Delivery of performant scalable and reliable front-end features that enhance user experience across platforms.
- Demonstrable contribution to team velocity through quality code active participation in planning and issue resolution.
- Ownership of UI/UX quality proactively identifying and resolving usability and performance issues.
- Introducing or advocating for modern front-end approaches that reduce technical debt and increase maintainability.
What you need to have already done to be right for this role
- Proven experience developing production-grade applications using (Vue 2/3).
- Solid experience building and maintaining PWAs with service workers and manifest configurations.
- Good understanding of MVC/Web API Core integration workflows.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools (Webpack Vite etc.) and CI/CD processes.
- Experience working within Agile/SCRUM environments.
- Experience with component libraries such as Vuetify BootstrapVue or TailwindCSS is desirable.
- Exposure to testing frameworks (Jest Cypress etc.) is a plus.
Skills
- Strong command of core web technologies: HTML5 CSS3 (including SCSS or LESS) JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Excellent understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Enthusiastic about user-centred design and creating pixel-perfect interfaces.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers designers and stakeholders.
- Curious and eager to adopt and explore emerging tools and frameworks.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a structured and analytical approach to development and troubleshooting.
