We are hiring for full-time positions within this 10-month program serving schools throughout the Modesto area. This role focuses on providing short-term prevention and early intervention supports to students eligible for special education helping to foster emotional well-being and positive behavior in school settings. Social Emotional Behaviorists will collaborate with educators families and support staff to implement strategies that promote student success while maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to a supportive learning environment. Ideal candidates will be empathetic flexible skilled in behavioral support practices and dedicated to improving outcomes for all students.

Position Summary:Responsible for providing short-term prevention and early intervention supports to students eligible for special educationat schools throughout Modesto City Schools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum B.A./B.S. in Social Services or related fields.
Experience and ability to work effectively with youth adults and community members.
Demonstrate written and oral communication skills.
Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.
Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis) screening.
Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing if required.
Valid California drivers license and proof of auto insurance coverage.
Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allow any points.
DUTIES:
Provides individual activities to students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in need of prevention support or referral services identified by designated special education school personnel.
Participate in Individualized Education Program(IEP) meetings as deemed necessary by special education school personnel.
Provides conflict mediations with identified participants.
Responsible for collecting and completing statistical information case files program forms and providing appropriate documentation per program requirements and agency needs.
Responsible for completing contract hours as assigned.
Develop and maintain close working relationship as a liaison with assigned schools agencies participating business and organizations.
Consults with school staff probation; and community based agencies to make appropriate referrals to community agencies.
Responsible for implementation of projects as assigned by Supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Will promote and support a culturally and linguistically diverse workforce and be responsive to the population within our service area.
Maintain confidentiality and confidential information in accordance with legal standards and/or agency regulations.
Participate in assigned scheduled agency meetings in-service trainings conferences and other trainings as determined by the supervisor. This includes serving as an agency representative at assigned community meetings.
Observance of assigned working hours and program appointments by demonstrating promptness and thorough preparation.
Performance of assigned duties with a positive attitude and in the spirit of teamwork collaboration and cooperation.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Perform job duties in a safe manner to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Participates in and/or supports agency fund development activities and events.
Preparation of assigned reports work records statistical data job performance evaluations work plans a timely manner.
