Job Description
- Support attorneys in all phases of litigation including case management and trial preparation
- Bluebook cite-check and proofread legal documents
- Manage document production and discovery responses
- Maintain electronic case files and centralized document repositories
- File and e-file pleadings in federal and state courts
- Draft and serve subpoenas
- Track case calendars deadlines and court schedules
- Communicate with attorneys clients witnesses and court personnel
- Prepare trial exhibits and assist in courtroom logistics
- Travel as needed for trials and hearings
- Occasional overtime required
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules
- Bluebook and cite-checking proficiency
- Trial support experience
- Proficiency in Westlaw EDGE PACER Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with NetDocuments FiscalNote Adobe Best Authority a plus
- Paralegal certificate preferred
- Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime
- Interest in political or progressive causes is a plus
