Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial and hospitality services with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards in a hotel or industrial setting. This role requires exceptional leadership skills attention to detail and the ability to manage a team effectively to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure that all areas are clean well-maintained and meet company standards.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and available for staff use.
  • Train new hires on proper cleaning techniques safety protocols and customer service expectations.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally ensuring prompt resolution to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance and front desk to coordinate services and address any issues that arise.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality or industrial cleaning sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of custodial practices floor care techniques and cleaning equipment usage.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written for interacting with staff and guests.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed including weekends and holidays.
