Job Description

AtOticon Medical were on a mission to improve the quality of life for people with severe hearing loss. Were now looking for aMechanical Engineerto join our R&D team in Askim Sweden. Bring your mechanical design expertise well bring the purpose the passion and the people.

What Youll Do

As a Mechanical Engineer youll play a key role in developing our next-generation sound processors and implantable hearing systems. Youll work in cross-functional teams alongside experts in R&D Operations Regulatory Clinical and Marketing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing micro-mechanical components from concept to production
  • CAD modeling (we use PTC Creo)
  • Building and testing physical prototypes
  • Idea creation design management and verification activities

  • Optimizing designs for cost performance and manufacturability
  • Managing design changes and updating technical documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with medical device regulations and standards
  • Document work in accordance with the companys development processes

What You Bring

Were looking for someone who is hands-on structured and thrives in a collaborative environment. You likely have:

  • A BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
  • 35 years of experience in mechanical design preferably in medical devices or other regulated industries
  • Skills in CAD modeling (preferably Creo)
  • Experience with fine mechanics and plastic components
  • A proactive solution-oriented mindset and documentation skills
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
