What are we looking for

We are looking for switched-on and passionate water enthusiasts specifically mid-to-senior level hydrogeologists to join our WA Water business group. GHDs 90-year partnership with the WA water sector has cultivated strong client relationships and a deep understanding of their challenges equipping us to assist them in preparing for what lies ahead. Our team is very well known for water infrastructure and water resources engineering and science consulting collaborating with industry leaders like Water Authorities major mining firms and Defense among others. We are looking for individuals who will uphold and enhance our reputation for effective collaboration and quality delivery. Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Supporting the winning and delivery of projects for the planning and execution of hydrogeological investigation and assessments
  • Work across a variety of small to medium sized water projects the team is delivering
  • Working within a globally connected multidisciplinary team on major projects
  • Supporting and managing the delivery of high-quality field investigations data management and technical reporting
  • Investigation and report writing
  • Preparation of proposals and bids for projects
  • Demonstrating your industry knowledge and experience to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Working collaboratively with experienced professionals on a range of projects
  • Continually developing your skills and contribution to the team
  • Mentoring and coaching more junior members
  • Supporting more Senior members in delivering to both internal and external clientele
  • Developing an active network across the APAC and global service lines

What you will bring to the team

  • Technical skills in groundwater investigations hydrogeological conceptualisation groundwater impact assessments and resource evaluation
  • Hands-on experience with GIS software and spatial data analysis
  • Ability to work independently navigating geological models (i.e. Leapfrog) coding (i.e. python) water assessment software (i.e. Aqtesolv)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in report writing in a variety of formats for a range of clients/sectors
  • Proficient written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
  • Passion for technical excellence diligence and client service
  • An understanding of or experience in numerical model development including data collation processing and interpretation realistic conceptualisation model construction calibration and operation
  • Experience in supporting key aspects of project management and administration as well as subcontractor and HSE management
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in hydrogeology or related subjects
  • Over 2 years hydrogeological experience with over 8 years required for the Senior role
