Join The Crew

We are hiring a Director Brand & Integrated Marketing to join our Brand Marketing team. This position reports to the Vice President of Brand Marketing and takes Away further by leading a team and collaborating cross-functionally with Growth Retail Wholesale/B2B Creative Partnerships/Social Merchandising and Product to ensure cohesive storytelling across paid owned and earned touchpoints while delivering measurable business outcomes.

In addition to the responsibilities listed below this position will also oversee the partnerships and channel marketing team.

What youll do as the Director Brand & Integrated Marketing

Brand & Commercial Strategy

  • Youll develop and oversee a holistic brand marketing strategy that drives awareness brand equity and market share

  • Youll build GTM frameworks for product launches seasonal campaigns and market expansion - ensuring alignment with sales retail and ecommerce objectives

  • Youll partner closely with Merchandising Retail and Product teams to forecast demand and identify growth opportunities to meet sales projections

  • Youll lead the marketing strategy for wholesale partners (Amazon Nordstrom) ensuring strong sell-in sell-through and brand presentation

  • Youll lead and mentor a team of brand & retail marketers and a retail visual designer fostering an inspiring collaborative and high-performing culture

  • Youll present marketing plans forecasts and post-campaign analysis to leadership and key stakeholders

Integrated Campaign Development

  • Youll own the planning and execution of fully integrated campaigns across paid owned and earned media including retail activations digital marketing PR influencer and partnerships

  • Youll oversee the creative briefing process to ensure messaging visuals and storytelling align with brand positioning and commercial goals

  • Youll partner with Growth Marketing to ensure upper-funnel brand campaigns drive measurable lower-funnel results

  • Youll act as the bridge between creative digital retail and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives

  • Youll leverage consumer insights market data and competitive intelligence to shape strategy & positioning

  • Youll maintain a deep understanding of the customer their evolving needs and preferences and the competitive landscape to craft compelling strategies that attract new customers and deepen the loyalty of existing customers

Channel Growth & Retail/Wholesale Marketing

  • Youll collaborate with retail teams on in-store activations point-of-sale marketing and promotional strategies

  • Youll build co-marketing programs with wholesale partners to amplify launches and seasonal initiatives

  • Youll evaluate the effectiveness of channel marketing strategies adjusting for performance and market trends

  • Youll analyze campaign performance and retail/wholesale sell-through applying learnings to future initiatives

Who you are

  • You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in brand marketing integrated marketing or GTM strategy preferably in consumer retail or lifestyle industries

  • You have a proven track record of building and executing successful GTM campaigns that drive measurable sales growth

  • You have strong experience in retail and wholesale marketing including co-op programs and partner negotiations

  • You have exceptional project management organizational and leadership skills

  • You have expertise in developing integrated campaigns across multiple channels (digital retail influencer PR partnerships)

  • You are commercially minded with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities

  • You have experience with premium or lifestyle brands

  • You have a strong network with retail partners media or agencies

  • You have experience with global markets and international GTM strategies

  • You are a strong leader with a process-driven mindset who is confident in cultivating and developing talent someone who people want to learn from work with and are inspired by

  • You are an effective cross-functional leader and are adept at working with your peers across growth media creative PR and merchandising

  • You are customer-obsessedyou understand our customers and how to speak to them at every point of the marketing funnel

  • You obsess over how our brand shows up and have exceptionally high personal and team standards

  • You have exceptional budget management capabilitieswith laser-sharp budget allocation and optimization and the ability to build the business case for spend

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environmentagile and nimble in both leadership and execution

  • Youre creative and innovative; you love to build great new things that are fresh and unique while staying on brand

  • Youre agile and motivated by a fast-paced and ever changing environment

What We Offer

Our compensation is purposely structured as one rate to provide transparency in the hiring process while honoring our internal pay bands. Salary and benefit offerings are reviewed during phone screenings to ensure alignment.

  • Compensation: $180000.00 annually

  • This role is eligible to participate in Aways Annual Company Performance Incentive Bonus Plan the terms of which are determined at the discretion of the company

  • Equity Grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company

How We Work

This is an office-based position that works from our Soho NYC office four days a week. Our working hours are 9am-6pm et but we embrace a common-sense approach to flexibility in the workplace. Its about being present engaged and balancing work with real-life needs.
