Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Bedford
Salary: 35000 - 45000 per annum
Type: Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team based in Bedford. This role will focus on the design and development of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks
Design and develop mechanical components assemblies and systems
Work closely with other engineering departments and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility
Modify designs based on feedback testing and performance
Produce supporting documentation including BOMs specifications and reports

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
Good problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
