Job Description
Who we are:
Waynesburg Animal Hospital is awell-known respected veterinary hospital in rural Greene County PA with an exciting team member opening!
We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant and/or Kennel Attendant who loves caring for animals enjoys taking care of our pet patients needs while getting satisfaction from keeping our hospital sparkling clean and the hospital grounds pretty and well cared for! (FULL TIME OR PART TIME)
WAH is a three-doctor practice committed to high-quality compassionate medical and surgical care of our clients precious pets. We are a busy hospital which means we need an extra pair of hands to help all over the hospital from the front to the back.
This position requires a team member who can:
- Perform tasks that require physical fitness to do physical cleaning work including bending and lifting
- Assist the front desk receptionists the veterinarians and technicians in an organized efficient manner and be willing to learn new tasks.
- Interact with the clients in a kind compassionate professional manner
- Care for feed water exercise and clean cages/litter boxes for all of our animal patients in the hospital as needed and appropriate
- Learn about post-operative care and patient monitoring
- Keep all areas of the hospital well stocked with animal care supplies
- Maintain a clean comfortable odor free kennel making it a safe and nurturing environment for animals clients and team members.
- Keep the laundry caught up and the sink and bathroom areas clean and tidy Complete all of the end of day cleaning tasks for the whole hospital
- Keep the hospital grounds clean care for flowers and hospital decor
At WAH no two days are the same since the case load and the animals that need our help vary day to day.
