Job Summary

Take a tour of our campus: Department of Pharmacy consistent with the mission of Johns Hopkins Medicine places a priority on teaching research and patient care. At Johns Hopkins Hospital the department is responsible for providing acute care pharmacy services for a diverse population of medical and surgical patients with additional services provided within the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and affiliated clinics. Within the department there are 45 acute care and primary care clinical pharmacy specialists as well as 31 general and specialized pharmacy residents.

Join our Central Pharmacy team at Johns Hopkins Hospital where we prepare and deliver patient-specific medications for all adult inpatient units. This role supports medication distribution for over 800 beds Pyxis MedStation replenishment and batch product preparation.

As a pharmacist youll provide distributive services supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure efficient workflow. Youll collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote safe and effective medication use and obtain departmental IV Certification (including aseptic technique and hazardous handling) within 90 days of hire. This role is key in supporting both acute and chronic patient care overnight.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm D. or BS degree.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is desired.
  • Minimum of one year of hospital experience with responsibility for the supervision of pharmacy personnel is desired.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland required.
  • Intravenous (IV) Certification (includes aseptic technique and hazardous substance handling) within 90 days upon hire.

Salary Range: Minimum 70.50/hour - Maximum 70.50/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
