Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
Provide leadership education and feedback to ensure receiving and restocking are performed accurately efficiently and safely using proper procedures.
Direct and oversee company and contractor personnel across warehouse and inventory operations.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer service escalations ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with management.
Inventory Management
Manage and control stock levels making strategic decisions to optimize inventory.
Drive inventory optimization initiatives and develop performance metrics to track progress.
Identify excess and obsolete inventory for Material Review Board (MRB) and coordinate sale of obsolete items with Surplus Vendor.
Oversee monthly reconciliation and expense reporting for Zone Stores.
Operational Excellence
Oversee bag and tag (kitting and staging) operations to support production and maintenance activities.
Ensure Positive Material Identification (PMI) is performed according to specifications.
Analyze and interpret material and labor trends to support proactive material planning.
Coordinate with delivery services to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with standards for quality customer service health and safety.
Resolve health safety and security issues in collaboration with relevant departments.
Oversee the GTP Orange site Facilities Hazmat Shipping process ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement
Oversee warehouse roles in the plant repairable process ensuring efficient and effective workflows.
Respond to customer complaints and comments implementing corrective actions as needed.
Recommend and implement improvements to warehouse and inventory processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse operations inventory management or materials planning.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations.
Familiarity with kitting staging and PMI processes.
Experience with SAP systems and inventory optimization tools.
Preferred Skills
Certification in supply chain management or logistics.
Experience working with surplus vendors and MRB processes.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with operations procurement and facilities teams.
