Job Description

As a Parts Outside Sales Representative you will be selling parts for aggregate crushing wood grinding screening and waste shredding equipment to industrial customers across Ontario. Youll focus primarily on outbound prospecting and transactional sales targeting operational personnel such as site foremen mechanics and maintenance managers. Approximately 75% of your sales activity will focus on new business development with the remaining 25% on account management. About 25% of your leads will be warm while the rest must be self-generated. This role offers a base salary of $81000 along with a prepaid commission of $39000 in the first year bringing the guaranteed first-year OTE to $120000. It also includes a company-provided vehicle and additional perks.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

  • Head Office Chilliwack British Columbia
  • Regional Office: Woodstock ON
  • Primarily a field-based role (Work from Home)
  • Office visits are approximately once a month
  • Sales Territory: All of Ontario with a focus on southern Ontario including the Greater Toronto Area Hamilton Niagara Falls Mississauga Burlington Kitchener-Waterloo
  • Full-time Monday to Friday (no evenings/weekends)

EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years of industrial sales experience (parts MRO consumables etc.)
  • Outbound/high-volume sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience selling to maintenance managers mechanics and site supervisors preferred
  • Industry experience in construction equipment industrial supply or waste equipment is strongly preferred
  • High school diploma minimum
  • Comfortable working in a field sales capacity

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Basic skills in Excel PowerPoint Word Google Drive/Docs
  • Experience using a CRM (PipeDrive preferred)
  • Online demo familiarity

  • Aggregate crushing screening washing and conveying equipment and parts.
  • Wood grinding equipment and parts.
  • Soil and Mulch screening and processing equipment.
  • Waste shredding equipment and parts

  • Decision Makers: Maintenance Managers Mechanics Site Supervisors
  • Company Size: Small to mid-sized industrial businesses
  • Geographic Focus: Ontario-wide

SALES CYCLE / ORDER VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE

  • Average Order Size (Parts): $1000 $5000
  • Account Value: Typically SMBs with $10M$100M in revenue
  • Sales Cycle: Short transactional (typically under 3 months)

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:

  • 70% New Business Development (Cold Calling/Prospecting)
  • 20% Account Management10% Admin/CRM Updates
  • Primarily an outbound field sales role

LEADS:

  • 75% Prospecting / Cold Calling
  • 25% Warm leads generated by marketing

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

  • 1025% (up to 5 days per month)

SUPPORT & TRAINING:

  • Job Shadowing and Field Training
  • 1 week at the Woodstock office for onboarding
  • 34 weeks of total sales and product training
  • Expected to begin selling within 12 months
