Job Description

Job Title: Vehicle Competence Engineer

Location: Santa Clara CA (100% onsite) -Locals only

Candidates must be flexible to cover one weekend day Tue Sat or Sun-Thurs must be flexible to work PM/night shift if needed.

Must Haves:

  • Prior OEM integration roles experience (CANalyzer / CANoe knowledge would be advantage)
  • Basic knowledge of ADAS systems and sensor fusion principles
  • Must pass Mercedes driving test T2
  • 60/40 split between ADAS ECUs knowledge integration debug capabilities and in-car driving validation sometimes quite extensive. Ideal candidates would need to pass a fairly difficult Mercedes prototype driving training and be confident in their driving abilities. Having prior experience working on and driving EV prototype cars would help a lot.
  • Typical day: install new SW/FW on the ECU > debug integration problems if not successful > collect logs create tickets reach to other teams and ECU owners etc. driving the ultimate result // if integration is successful with the rest of the platform > hop in the car for on-road test cases and validation accompanied by more logging and post drive analysis. But its critical to drive the car and experience the bad behavior personally to speed up debugging and root cause analysis on the fly.
