Job Title: Nurse Manager II Med/Surg Oncology
Location: Onsite Clackamas OR 97015 US
Bonus: Annual Incentive Bonus

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager II to lead our Med/Surg Oncology unit. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of safe high-quality and evidence-based patient care while promoting a culture of excellence collaboration and innovation. This is a 24/7 operational role overseeing a 20-bed inpatient unit with approximately 50 direct reports where chemotherapy is administered.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & StrategyLead the implementation of best practice care models and patient delivery systems across multiple clinical locations.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective care across the continuum.
Drive staff engagement performance improvement and clinical excellence.
Oversee day-to-day operations and resource allocation ensuring appropriate staffing and utilization.
Manage equipment supply and medication needs in alignment with budget and safety standards.
Ensure readiness for emergency situations and regulatory audits.
Uphold patient safety standards legal regulations and quality compliance (e.g. Joint Commission Nursing Practice Act).
Lead performance improvement initiatives and process redesign efforts for quality service and affordability.
Monitor and report on operational metrics clinical outcomes and budget compliance.
Hire mentor and develop nursing staff while supporting career progression and succession planning.
Foster a collaborative inclusive and learning-oriented team culture.
Support and enforce HR functions including conflict resolution performance management and policy compliance.
Registered Nurse License (Oregon) Required at hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required at hire
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 5 years of experience in patient care delivery
Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations clinical health care or related field
Minimum 4 years of leadership experience with or without direct reports
Experience in Oncology nursing including familiarity with chemotherapy in inpatient settings
Strong leadership background with direct report supervision
Prior management experience in Med/Surg Oncology or related acute care units
Familiarity with Lean Process Improvement Change Management or Compliance Leadership
