Job Title: Engine Mechanic Client: Aerospace Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months (possible extension)
Location: San Diego CA 92121
Shift: 2nd Shift 2:30 PM 11:00 PM
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Engine Mechanic II to perform assembly disassembly and reassembly of aero-derivative gas turbine engines modules and accessories in compliance with technical specifications and standard work practices.
Qualifications: - 2 years experience in engine overhauls
- Completion of Engine Mechanic I qualifications
- A&P License preferred
- Ability to read/interpret service repair manuals & technical publications
- Skilled in using precision tools (torque wrenches transducers micrometers etc.)
- Experience with LM2500 LM6000 LMS100 or similar aero-derivative gas turbines
- Strong verbal written analytical and communication skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities: - Disassemble clean inspect and assemble gas turbine engines (LM6000 LM2500 LMS100)
- Prepare tools materials and technical information for engine work
- Perform inspections for serviceability per specifications routers manuals and quality criteria
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)
- Follow Environmental Health Safety and Quality procedures
- Support team members and share technical knowledge when required
- Adhere to company values and operational excellence standards
Additional Information: - This role requires manual dexterity and the ability to maneuver around engines to meet job requirements.
- Overtime availability based on operational needs.
