Job Description
Responsibilities include conducting building code reviews and quality control inspections as well as preparing written and electronic reports and issuing notices of correction when necessary. The role involves explaining and interpreting relevant codes or quality control requirements identifying and resolving unique problems and maintaining strong customer service relationships with clients and the public. Additional duties include supporting the inspection management team with business development efforts and performing other related tasks as assigned by the Manager.
The position requires a Florida commercial building inspection license (BN#) in the building (structural) discipline. While not mandatory additional licenses in mechanical electrical plumbing or residential combination (1 & 2 family dwellings) are highly desirable. Candidates should have at least four years of experience conducting plan reviews and/or inspections possess a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a valid state drivers license with a clean driving record.
