Sous Chef

Working hours: 36 hours across 7 days evening & weekend work required

About you

Are you self-motivated happy working in a team environment and flexible enough to adapt to a changing environment If this sounds like you read on to find out how you can hit the ground running.

It would be great if you had experience in:

  • Experience working within the hospitality industry including producing food provision for large scale events.

Skills and knowledge of:

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a multi outlet operation.
  • Passionate about food and hospitality- a natural flare for amazing food quality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capability to deliver key business metrics including food safety management

It also helps if you have:

  • HACCP
  • NEBOSH
  • IHOSH
  • Hands on experience of designing meus
  • High degree of flexibility can respond to a range of different work situations
  • Proven ability to develop best in class sourcing of ingredients
  • Passionate about music culture and the Northeast

Youll be responsible for:

  • A passion for food
  • Capable of developing innovative ideas to improve the effectiveness of your section
  • Able to work independently asking for guidance when needed
  • Ability to assist with menu design and innovation responding to our audiences and events
  • A sound understanding of health and safety and food safety regulations
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Work closely with Food & Beverage Team Managers to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Responsible for promoting plant-based dishes & sustainable products
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage Operations Manager Head of Audience Experience and FOH team ensuring exceptional food and service standards across all Food & Beverage operations.
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team working towards a common goal
  • Producing dishes both hot and cold to a high standard
  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean & tidy in line with cleanliness standards
  • Ensuring orders are maintained at an appropriate level
  • Cleanliness records are kept up to date
