Working hours: 36 hours across 7 days evening & weekend work required

About The Glasshouse International Centre for Music

About you
Are you self-motivated happy working in a team environment and flexible enough to adapt to a changing environment If this sounds like you read on to find out how you can hit the ground running.
It would be great if you had experience in:
- Experience working within the hospitality industry including producing food provision for large scale events.
Skills and knowledge of:
- Ability to work well under pressure in a multi outlet operation.
- Passionate about food and hospitality- a natural flare for amazing food quality
- Strong communication skills
- Capability to deliver key business metrics including food safety management
It also helps if you have:
- HACCP
- NEBOSH
- IHOSH
- Hands on experience of designing meus
- High degree of flexibility can respond to a range of different work situations
- Proven ability to develop best in class sourcing of ingredients
- Passionate about music culture and the Northeast
Youll be responsible for:
- A passion for food
- Capable of developing innovative ideas to improve the effectiveness of your section
- Able to work independently asking for guidance when needed
- Ability to assist with menu design and innovation responding to our audiences and events
- A sound understanding of health and safety and food safety regulations
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Work closely with Food & Beverage Team Managers to ensure smooth service delivery
- Responsible for promoting plant-based dishes & sustainable products
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Operations Manager Head of Audience Experience and FOH team ensuring exceptional food and service standards across all Food & Beverage operations.
- Ability to work as part of a wider team working towards a common goal
- Producing dishes both hot and cold to a high standard
- Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean & tidy in line with cleanliness standards
- Ensuring orders are maintained at an appropriate level
- Cleanliness records are kept up to date
