Kindred Hospital - San Antonio Central is a long-term acute care hospital located at 111 Dallas Street 4th Floor Building C in San Antonio Texas. Its designed for patients who need extended recovery time after intensive care especially those with complex medical conditions like respiratory failure sepsis or stroke.

The hospital offers a range of services including intensive care telemetry-level monitoring wound care infectious disease management and rehabilitation for brain injuries and cardiac conditions.

Its certified by The Joint Commission for Long-Term Acute Care and has earned disease-specific certifications in Respiratory Failure and Wound Care reflecting its commitment to high-quality evidence-based treatment.

As aPRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) joining our team youre embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.

How youll contribute:

  • Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing speech-language and therapy needs.

  • Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patients condition.

  • Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.

  • Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.

  • Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.

  • Supervises activities of clinical fellows students and other support personnel.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology Required

  • Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure with State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
