You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailC2 seeks a Simulator Maintenance Technician I to work closely with and under the supervision of the Shift Lead to maintain C-17 flight simulators and/or maintenance trainers.
The Simulator Maintenance Technician I is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operational readiness of C-17 flight simulators and maintenance trainers. This entry-level role includes performing routine troubleshooting preventive maintenance and assisting in system diagnostics and modifications under guidance.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on C-17 flight and maintenance simulators.
Apply basic knowledge and reference manuals to address technical issues and system problems.
Receive training on simulator systems and subsystems.
Assist with diagnosing and correcting simulator faults.
Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems.
Log and track all maintenance actions using a maintenance management system.
Perform pre- and post-flight activities on simulators.
Conduct visual alignments and simulator testing.
Support simulator modifications enhancements and administrative/housekeeping tasks.
2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
Entry-level position; previous hands-on technical experience is beneficial.
Familiarity with maintenance management systems (for logging/tracking maintenance tasks).
Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
Must have current SECRET-level security clearance or the ability to obtain an interim SECRET clearance.

This role involves physical exertion and working in varied environments:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally 30 lbs frequently 10 lbs constantly.
Requires activities such as visual inspection climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching crawling reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting fingering grasping feeling talking and hearing.
Must be able to work in environments with noise vibration hazards (e.g. moving machinery heights) and atmospheric conditions (e.g. dust fumes poor ventilation).
Must be comfortable in confined spaces and narrow passageways.
