Job Description
Your mission:
- Develop and maintain PLC programs using structured text (Mainly Codesys Platform for WAGO PLCs)
- Develop PLC-HMIs
- Hardware configuration of the PLC system including input/output modules and communication interfaces
- Testing and debugging of PLC programs and systems to identify and resolve any issues or error.
- Perform remote and on-site commissioning of monitoring and control systems for photovoltaic power plants mainly in Iberia region
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians in the design and implementation of automation solutions
- Creating schematics and documentation
Your profile:
- Training in engineering or a technical background related to industrial/energy automation
- Experience in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA solutions preferably WAGO devices
- Experience in structured text (ST)
- Knowledge of industrial control and communication protocols (ModBus IEC101 IEC102 IEC104 and automation systems)
- Knowledge of RTUs for protocol conversion plant automation power control and other SCADA functionalities
- Knowledge of vba scripts
- Knowledge of computer networking principles including TCP/IP protocols subnetting and routing and switching technologies
- Implement and help define network and cybersecurity measures
- Knowledge of Firewall configuratrion (Fortigate / Palo Alto)
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
