Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer Senior located at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery AL within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES) to support Integrated Logistics System- Supply (ILS S). The ILS-S is comprised of the following supply applications used at the base/warfighter level: Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) Air Force Supply Centralized Database (AFSCDB) and the Enterprise Solution Supply (ES-S). ILS-S supports over 18000 supply customers and operates as an integral part of Air Force Supply Chain Management and Chief Financial Officer financial accountability. The ILS-S provides direct supply support to Active Guard and Reserve forces anywhere in the world in support of peacetime and wartime operations for all Air Force weapon systems such as F-35 F22 F-15 F-16 A-10 C-130 C-17 C-5 etc.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in software engineering to include but not limited to:
Preparing/creating reviewing and analyzing all types of documentation for:
Planning
Requirements
Design
Coding
Support and
Test;
Source code configuration files and engineering resolution support;
Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis problem definition requirements solution development and proposed solutions;
Demonstrating solutions by developing documentation flowcharts layouts diagrams charts and code comments;
Determining and designing system specifications and standards and programming/coding and installing solutions;
Improving operations by conducting systems and process analysis plus recommending changes in policies and procedures;
Advising (licensed) software procurements by researching analyzing comparing and documenting results of vendors and products which may include installation configuration and testing (of products);
Providing information and recommendations by collecting analyzing and summarizing development and service related issues;
Accomplishing engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed;
Developing software solutions by studying requirements/user stories user/system/data needs conferring with users studying systems flow data usage and work processes investigating problem areas and following an Agile software development lifecycle;
Evaluating software technologies such as containerization and the use of Kubernetes infrastructure as code configuration as code micro services standard application program interfaces (API) continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) and maximizing the automation of the software development lifecycle (SDLC); and/or
Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies principles and practices to the delivery of application software services.
Requirements
Masters or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed five years of which must be in the DoD
OR bachelors degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed five of which must be in the DoD
OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications eight of which must be in the DoD.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active DoD Security Clearance (Secret). Must maintain clearance at required level.

Experience with EKS (Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes) and ELK stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana)
Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda API Gateway CloudWatchexperience with AWS security including IAM roles policies and compliance.
Experience with other programming languages such as Python C# or JavaScript
Familiarity with machine learning or artificial intelligence technologies
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Previous experience working on DoD installations.
